...JNRBRONC, it was AWFUL. First stand this happens, second stand somebodies IN the second stand, third stand blood and a gut pile infront of it. Then I saw this blind, walked back to my car to head somewhere else jumped 20+ deer 2 small bucks and the rest does. Then went over to where I have pictures of the new guy, some dude was tresspassing so I called the landowner to deal with it and he wasn't happy. Don't know if he caught the guy but then I came home.

EDIT: I'm the only person on the 1st and 3rd stand that has permission.

No, it's the guy who manages the property during shotgun seasons stand. He lets me now hunt out of them (he would if he lived close enough) the tree wasn't dead until this year. It wasn't dead when I was shed hunting.

Edit: We were just talking, he said it wasn't dead last year. He said he would have taken it down if he knew. I'm not that stupid! I wouldn't hang a stand in a dead tree.

Sorry about your bad luck, sometimes things throw a wrench in your plans. A bit of advice you can take or leave, hanging a stand in a dead tree is a risk not worth taking. Glad you were not in that stand when the tree snapped.

TH, that sucks, keep after 'em. Just from reading your posts over the last couple of years, it sounds like you guys have a ton of trespassing. I'd get the sheriff's line entered into your cell phone and on speed dial if you really want to start punishing these fools.
