Had a neighbor who farms and is not at all into hunting call me today while I was gone to a function in Des Moines to tell me specifically about a buck with two drop tines that he saw on our property. He was moving cattle and said he saw the buck heading back into our CRP. I have never once seen this buck or even a buck with a drop tine for that matter. Crazy what turns up. Unfortunately wind wasn't good to hunt that side of farm tonight. Ended up seeing a target buck at 30yds only to not get a shot opportunity. 3rd bow range encounter with this SAME buck and nothing to show for it!

Got this guy on camera 3 years ago. This is all I've got on him. Never saw him in person, no sheds, no repeat visits to camera. Just a ghost. Date and time stamp are wrong, this picture was taken sometime in late October if I remember right.

Need a story with that pic gun hunter... That pic alone isn't going to cut it :D unreal

Wish I had a story..lol was in front of a camera one night for about 20 minutes never seen never got another picture. Neighbors never seen or got a pic.

That buck is so big it doesn't even look real. I am not sure what I would have done after that trail cam pull. Wow!!

I can't believe you guys have been holding out with your trail can pics! ;) That's motivation to sit all day right there, never know when they'll show again.

Oh wow.... Is that an 8 point frame?!?!??! Incredible.

That year he was a main frame 8 with split G2's. The next year he was a main frame 10 with split G2's and he grew 2 drops and more mass. That season I had him at 30 yards bedded behind a deadfall all afternoon early ML season only to have the hunt go bad because of some rowdy kids with an AR. That was the last time I saw him. I believe he was a son to a deer I called Little Eddie. He scored 235.
