    FYI

I'll second this I've been checking in back home for the last several precipitation events and they've all been within .1 of an inch of what they actually received.

    Acorns to Oaks!

They're a very hardy oak for browse. I've killed more than 400 on my place and need to do a whole bunch more. If you all want any acorns this fall, I'll see if they're producing this year on the farm....or come down and pick your own if you want.

    Spoonbill Snagging

Use a weight with a very large treble hook to snag. The livescope helps since you know there’s a fish out there at x feet deep and x feet far away. Then you cast out trying to guess right and bring the hook in while watching it on the livescope get close to fish and then yank like he$$. It’s...

    Chestnuts

Stored some extra Ozark chinquapins in the fridge all winter sans any media or moisture. They’re waking up now for spring planting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Chestnuts

It can be done. What I do is drill holes up about 5" from the bottom of the tub to let excess water drain out. Then when it's excessively hot during summer, you can just dump a 5-gallon pail of water in the tub as needed.

    Favorite Fall Brassica?

groundhog/daikon radishes are a hit on my place. They're usually mowed down before winter and long gone before spring planting. It's not uncommon for them not to make it past September some years.

    Honeysuckle??

Can't tell if that's honeysuckle or coralberry. I'd guess that honeysuckle should be starting to leaf out already, so I'd go with coralberry.

    Acorns to Oaks!

I've noticed that, which makes sense since a larger acorn has more energy to throw at a growing seedling. Of course genetics also play a factor to coincide with acorn size.

    Cash rent farmer

I'd call that a fair deal for both parties.

    Cash rent farmer

Do they pay for the improvements on your farm along with the cash rent, or do you mean you cut the cash rent price when improvements are made by the tenant?
