I have about 20 acres to burn in Guthrie county and the contractor I had lined up wasn’t sure if he’d get to me in time with the early green up and windy weather. Any recommendations of someone who I can contact? So far everyone I’ve called is in the same boat. They’ll put me down, but if I can...
I don’t think they even have to register in Iowa so there isn’t any record of how many or where they are. These bills are ludicrous. All about the Benjamin's.
Finally got the last of the junk cleaned up on the new acreage was able to leave a lot of the trees which I wanted but it got scraped pretty good around and underneath where there’s just bare dirt. I don’t plan on mowing it or anything but is there a seed mix I could Frost seed that would work...

West Central Iowa. Just been trying so hard to put some contiguous acres together these last few years but not sure if it’s gonna be all for naught and we’d be better off selling everything and getting something in a better neighborhood. There just isn’t enough cover around here and nowhere for...
What would you say is the #1 thing that helps these bucks survive to that age? Big blocks of timber, neighbors, food? Our properties have plenty of food, no pressure and lots of native grasses but just lacking big blocks of timber. Is it true that does tend to bed closest to the food sources and...
