    Felt like a kid again.

Jumped on my riding mower bout an hour ago to mow a small clover field. Just got that done and was heading to my neighbors ( best friends) alfalfa/ rye plot to mow his. Was 50 yards away and a pop up thunderstorm moved in. I thought « oh crap« turned around and headed for the cabin ( 300 yards...

This is my uncles property. He's about 2 miles from me and owns about 4/5 miles of continuous river bottom. He allowed me to put in a foodplot so 3 weeks ago, I mowed, sprayed, fertilized, tilled about a 1/2 acre spot. Planted pumpkins 2 weeks ago (100 plants). They are coming up nicely so early...

Visted with an old bowhunting buddy this morning. On a shelf in his garage was 6 XX75s 2216s from the early 90s. He asked if I wanted them. Sure. Was just looking them over 1/2 hour ago. 2 had slight bends so I screwd on 125g heads on 4, took out my bow with I haven't shot in 6 months, shot...

Gonna do it. Disagree/ hate if you want too...

Looking out my back window now. That small foodplot down the lane is about 120 yards. Important, that lane faces due N.E. Have watched 1000s of deer go through it over the years. ( yes, most are the same deer) Come October through spring time, I heat with wood. Any variation of a SW wind...

    Historical Data

Reflecting on some huge bucks taken, I'm starting to realize that all this time/ money we spend trying to grow " big" deer ain't what it's ..... For years, I've planted food plots, put out mineral sites. Always with the assumption that it'll help bucks get bigger. Begginging to think it a bunch...
