OK, transporting?!?! Duh, I didn't think of that. I do transport my 4 row, take the drive chain off and pull behind my jeep BUT then I can't take a tractor with it or anything. Be cool to have a 3 pt 2 row planter, I bet that's what the guy is doing, cutting up bigger planters. I assume he really checks them out close too? Lots can be bad on those things- bean meters/internal brushes, frogs, openers, etc, etc. I bought a 4 row about 3 years ago for dirt cheap (knew it needed some work)- brought it to dealership and said "make it right" - I ended up dropping $1,600 into it to replace things that were critically needed- probably could have gotten away with a little less (and I did calibrate it) BUT that rascal is gonna last me 20 years, easy with just doing plots.
