My patch in Marion county has finally taken off with some recent rains. What is the 32 degree mornings going to do to the growth. If I could get two more weeks out of the weather I think the tonnage would double? Any thoughts from experience out there? http://www.iowawhitetail.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Turnips (brassica) are resistant to frost. It will take a hard frost to slow them down. Not sure about rape, though. A quick google search turned up some reading on the subject.

You were on the money JNRB. Plot is looking great. http://www.iowawhitetail.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif Didn't think I would be hunting in 80's when I posted my frost concerns.
Highjumper, Honestly don't have enough experience with turnups and rape, but I do know when it gets cold and frosty their a chomping on those food sources, if Lincoln had only used his brain! http://www.iowawhitetail.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doah.gif
