Trout Fishing

Heading up to NE Iowa this weekend to try to find a few trout. Will be fishing out of the Edgewood area.

Anyone else fish for these little beauties??

I remember one time, i fished with a fat kid that had to strip down to his undies to help me land a 8 lbs Rainbow up there....

Love fishing for them. Kids just love it also. What stream are ya goin to Jonny? Scenery is almost as enjoyable as the fishing.

we talk about taking a long weekend, and giving that a shot every year. still haven't pulled it off, but this could be the year

I used to go all the time up around there. Backbone, Joy Springs, Fountain Springs. We would camp in Backbone. Great times and a great area even if you are not fishing.

P.S. for an early morning breakfast eat at the Franklin Inn in Strawberry. Kinda an old fashioned cafe, pretty neat.
