I just thought it would be interesting for people on this forum to see if any other people are shed hunting in the same areas. I do a majority of my shed hunting in Southeast Minnesota and Northeast Iowa.

I do most of my antler hunting in the spring while scouting for turkeys, but after last years success i'll probably do some more, I'm mainly in Jackson Co.

Well you Iowa guys don't have to worry about me tromping around in your area. I mainly look for them in Ramsey county, ND. Although I am thinking about taking a day or two and go just a tad bit north, but this side of the Canadian border. Got to keep my son out of Canada. We would end up moving up there once he found a big shed that they so commonly talk about finding in those parts. Can't have that!! LOL

I mainly look in Southeast Minnesota and Northern Iowa. In Iowa I look mostly around the Decorah area. I have also found a few sheds in Northern Minnesota.

I shed hunt in Madison county, mostly around Winterset. Lots of big deer down there. My favorite shed is a big eight that would have scored just under 160". Just so you get an idea of the size, the buck, consevatively, would have had a 23" inside spread, and it's G-3 was only 3". That's how big the rest of it was.

I hunt mostly in Southeast Iowa. Over the last few years I have really become addicted to the sport ,my wife thinks I am crazy.
I don't know about Northern Iowa ,but I am pretty sure the squirrels get most of them around here before I get there.

You guys how shed hunt in NE Iowa, have you had any luck in the past years. I spend alot of time shed hunting across the river in Vernon & Crawford Counties.

I TRY to shed hunt, but have never had any luck. The only one that I have picked up was found by the farmer, while he was in the field. The shed was caught in a fork of a small tree. I plan on doing some shed hunting this year. Hope I get lucky. I shed hunt in Jefferson County.
