Hello from Southern MN. I'm a new member but excited to be involved with a group of shed enthusiasts! I've been watching a herd with 4 bucks in the 115"-145" class and yesterday the 115" buck shed one side. I haven't had a chance to look for it yet since I was on my way to work when I noticed it and I'm hesitant to spook the other bucks out of the area before they shed. With this cold weather this week, shedding activity should definetely increase. I searched some areas hard last week that I knew held nice bucks the last several years thinking I could possibly find some older sheds that got missed with all the snow last year. Found five old sheds in the 50-65" class, but were chewed badly. Still a neat find and a good way to start off the year! Also, I watched the 130" buck out of the herd of 4 that I mentioned earlier breed a doe yesterday! That's got to be the latest I've ever witnessed breeding! Later.

Thanks antlerman! I live in Luverne, Mn--very SW part of the state. I've always said that MN won't claim us way over here, but IA and SD don't want us either!

I was out plinking with my .45 and my son was along. He wanted to do a little looking so we hit a couple good feeding areas on the way home and came up with no sheds. Did find a dead fawn that had been shot probably during gun season by a poacher/roadhunter close to the road. It was on private property and only my group hunts it. That makes three now. 2 doe fawns and a 126 class 4pt. What a waste.
