I saw a six pointer tonight and he had both sides on. Does not look like they are dropping any time soon down here.

I've been doing a lot of glassing after work on the way home the last couple days and haven't seen a buck with antlers on. Hopefully this weekend we start finding some sheds in ND as we only found 5 so far. Just been too mild of a winter and even some of the old mature bucks were/are still carrying in the last week. Going to be a tough year for shed hunting as the deer are really spreading out and the major wintering feeding areas aren't getting hit hard like they usually do. Last year spoiled us, but a lot of bucks made it though our hunting season so it is hard to say in the end if we come close to finding as many sheds as last year. Only need 65 more sheds to tie our record last year. http://www.iowawhitetail.com/ubb/images/icons/smile.gif Goodluck to you.

I started looking here in Nebraska Thursday eve. Found 2. Two more Friday A.M. and two more this A.M. Out of over 200 deer seen this morning, three were still carrying both sides. Looks loke most have dropped here.

Went out today and found a five point shed in some short crp grass. Also jumped two bucks that still had both sides on their heads. Watch them run away hope they'd leave them but I'll have to wait for another day.

We found 4 sheds today. A fork set that were 3 feet apart, another fork shed that matches with a previous one found and a 2 1/2 year old buck's 3pt shed. All found in the same feeding area. We are up to 9 sheds with all but one coming from that feeding area. Otherwise we tromped a lot of good spots today and found nothing. Kicked up a 3 1/2 buck that was still carrying both sides and found a couple fresh rubs in that area. Still very slow here but getting better.

Just saw another 120-130 class buck with both sides. I haven't had much time to get out yet. I hope you guys are having better luck.

Here's a follow up to the shed I found last weekend. I'd passed the buck up last november and now going through some photos find a friend got a picture of it.

Patrick, what are you guessing the age of that buck? Reason I ask is he looks young in the photo but already had nice spread and mass. Could be a real dandy in a year or two.

I'm sure he's 2 and a half year old deer. Looking at the shed I found it looks like he was just starting to get a split brow tine and another kicker off the G2. Given a little more time to grow he'll be a great deer.

I took a 150 inch buck several years ago in the timer along the same crp. That buck had split brow tines on both sides and a couple kickers. This one may well be related.

Just got back from my favorite spot. Seen over 200 deer, no antlers. I think most here have finially dropped. Jay
