View Full Version : First Shed of the Year

Here is a picture of the first shed antler I've found this year. The angle of the picture makes it look bigger than it actually is, but it's got a lot of character —Â*7 points in all. There were several different bucks in this same location which have all recently dropped their racks. The one I'm really hunting hard for is a large 160-class 11-pointer. I'll be looking for those this weekend. Good luck everybody!

SHEDHEAD,

I'm up in northeast/central Iowa and we got some pretty decent snow. A lot of it has already started to melt in the last few days though, so hopefully the will uncover some antlers. There's still a lot of snow in the woods and along the fencelines, it's just hard to see in the this picture. This was a grassy area in between the woods where there wasn't a lot of snow. Hopefully I'll find some more this weekend!

Have been so excited looking at all the great shed photos being sent in, was glad to finally find my first sheds of the year today (even though they are small)!

I enjoy all the photos big'uns or smallies so I'll post these (photo's of them in the field are in the camera and will need to be developed later..sorry)

Found my first of the year and second all time on the 12th. A nice little 4 point and it just happened to be on my birthday!! Happy B-day to me!!! I'll post a pic when I get them developed.
