I took a little time off work yesterday and shed hunted some new areas. The first area I hunted still had 5 bucks carrying both sides. I did find 1 small 3pt on the way out. I didn't get out tonight. Hopefully the wind will die down and this weekend will be better.
Good luck to you fellow shed hunters.

Chris,

I braved the wind for a short time today and snuck in on a mature buck still wearing both sides. Last Tuesday I found a 62" 6 point that was dropped between Friday afternoon and Tuesday morning.

The stragglers with antlers have to let go soon.

In the last week I have seen two 110-125" bucks with full rack. Yesterday while walking I saw a half racked 3pt. I think more bucks have antlers right now than most people think.

These two bucks were both caught on my dads Photohunter a week ago in Southern Iowa. Can't believe that they are still holding both sides.
Also, I can't believe the number of quality bucks we have on our farm. Two four point sheds have already been found that score 48 and 44 4/8 (with broken off G1 and G2), and one matched set of a 12 point, 11 point frame, which scored about 143" typically after deductions. My dad was brushcutting in a cornfield and hit the one side which broke off the end of 3 points. Would have scored around 155". I will get a pic up as soon as they get developed.
This makes 5 bucks on our property that will probably score above 130" next year. I'm gettin excited just thinking about next season. Now, if I could get my dad to quit letting the big ones get away, we might have one of these on the wall next year.he he
