Well me and the old man went out again today and I found a 2 1/2 year old 4 point. I walked right by it once and circled around and found it. We walked a good mile or 2 but it was a beautiful day and I woundnt have cared if we didnt find a thing.
Good luck all

I went out today for about an hour and 20 minutes with my dog and we didn't find any sheds but we did see some pheasants. I haven't seen many of them this year.It was a great day today. just glad to be out.

I went out this afternoon and found a right side 3 point decent mass.I was looking on a power line right of way.I could look back over my shoulder and see cars going by.All around me the frogs were chirping it was truly a great day to be out looking for shed antlers.Spring is here and in another couple weeks it will be really green and much more difficult to see the sheds. My sons and I have found 44 as of today and I hope we can break 50.How is everyone else doing so far?

Even on the slow days it is nice to be out walking.

We have found 32 so far. They are talking 35 temp for us tomorrow and 20-30 mph winds. Nice temp to be looking but walking in the wind all day will wear us out. Might just have to make Tyler walk against the wind all day while I walk with it to give me an advantage. http://www.iowawhitetail.com/ubb/images/icons/wink.gif We are going to a very good spot for bucks tomorrow and hoping to find a lot of sheds. Won't be easy as it is all CRP and cattail sloughs but hoping to beat our record of 10 sheds in a day. A couple hunters I know keep telling me about a big 6X6 hanging in that area during and after hunting season. I hope they are right.
Say, how is HuntAmerica's shed forum doing lately? I can't access the talk forums as of last Sunday. Keep getting a Failed Opening Warning. Was hoping to hear back from Swamp or Huntamerica on that, but haven't heard anything yet. Anyways goodluck on the rest of your shedding season.

Tim it looks like most of the shed hunters have found this board and are posting here theres not really much actin there of late.I'm sure how ever that will change since we are getting into prime shed hunting season. It sounds like you need to put a dragster parachute on the back of your son so he dosent beat you to all the sheds and get you a pair of them air jordans.Good luck hope he lets you find 1 or 2.
I don't think even a dragster parachute would have slowed him down today after finding the matched set. Had to chuckle when he got on some ice and the wind was pushing him around. I was about whipped after 5 hours tromping in the wind and he was still bouncing around ready for more. We spent the last couple hours tromping some old farmsteads to get out of the wind. Glad I held off going out till noon. He would have been dragging me out of CRP if it had been an all day tromping session.
