View Full Version : Wind was miserable today

Was kind of a cruddy day today. Wind really hammered on us but we still had a fairly good day. I think we got more then 20-30 mph wind that the weatherman predicted. Tyler's last weekend matched set is no longer the biggest sheds or match set for us or should I say for him. He found another match set laying on top of each other today. Basic 5x5 with stickers on both G2s. Gross score, it beat his set last weekend. The left side scored 68 3/8 and the right side scored 67 3/8. We were hoping they would push 70 but can't complain. He also found a young 3pt shed and a 5pt shed. I found a 4pt shed. Was his day again. Here's a couple pictures...

Way to go Tyler! My oldest son is also named Tyler. He has had a few days where he has found more than dad. He doesn't hunt much with me anymore. He is 17 now and girls are his main focus. Tim enjoy the time with your son now. Congrats on the great finds.

Tim it looks like you've met your match.If your nice maybe he will throw you a bone every now and then.Are'nt those young eyes just the greastest.Looks like your playing for 2nd place.Its amazing how finding all those sheds will make you forget about the cold and wind.Congratulations!!!!!!

Numba1, You should leave the mouth call at home during the off season. You will just educate them and make them harder to hunt.

Great finds guys, I went out for about four hours today and didnt find a single thing. But Im not gunna complain to much because I had my first spring close encounter with the illusive longbeard today. I was hittin my mouth call when he bust out about 40 yards from me. Talk about a rush. Only 2 more weeks. Cant wait.

Yeah I know I just wanted to hear one gobble. I hadnt heard one yet. I didnt expect one to be that close thougb. Oh well it was a rush.
