Things have been a little slow on this part of the forum so I thought I'd share some photos of some sheds with you guys. When I have the time I like to repair/restore shed antlers. Some for clients, some for my collection. This summer has had me doing some nice sheds from Iowa. The photo attached here is from my personal collection and is approximately 80 inches. Unfortunately, I failed to get a before picture. It was hard white with some cracking and one of the kickers on the g2 was broken. The repairs were simple ones and the recoloring turned out great. Now that I've got you all pumped up for shedding this winter and spring, let me give you a hint about an Iowa collector's shed that I completed about a month ago. Restored or repaired doesn't do the shed justice! I had to come up with a name for what was all done to this huge 114 inch shed! RESURRECTION! I will post before and after pics of this one in a day or two, I promise! Other Iowa sheds in progress are a 70 inch 4 pt. and a 66 in 4 pt. Talk to you in a day or so, Jay

Great job Jay, can't wait to see more.

What do you use for coloration?

Nice shed, thanks for sharing!

Hows bow hunting going in "Big Red" country?I didn't get out to Sioux County to hunt pronghorn like I was wanting too but should be able to sneek over for a whitetail hunt or two.

Take Care,

TLH

IAdroptine, I use a combination of english oak and american walnut stains. Water based made by Minwax. TLH, I've only been out once so my hunting hasn't been that inspiring yet. I just got a roll of film last night that shows the deer in my area are finally there during shooting hours. I'm heading out this afternoon.
