Things are looking real good. I've been seeing a good number of deer in general and some real nice bucks in my area. Maybe I should enter the contest? I feel like a kid in a candy store. And the other day the boss said I need to burn some of the vacation and holiday hours off the books! So many bucks and so much time to hunt them. A little roofing on the house yet and its a go!

I hear you scout! I was told the same thing by my boss too. I've got ~ 4 wks of vaca to burn.

Last year there was a topic about when the pre-rut and rut period was going to hit. Has there been a topic about that for the 2000 hunt? I'm going to try and use up some vaca during that time.
