I Decoyed these two deer to within 25 yds or so on Sat. September 30. They were originally 400+ yds. down stream. A little light rattling and light grunt or two and they started their way in. Once they got to this point, they just stood around and walked in a few circles staring at the Decoy giving me every opportunity to take either of them but nearly every season in the past, the Big Deer don't appear until the later part of October. Can't wait until then. Good Hunting Guys!

This awesome picture was taken in the Bitterroot National Forest in Montana on August 6, 2000 by a fire behavior analyst from Fairbanks,Alaska by the name of John McColgan with a Digital camera. Since he was
working while he took the picture, he cannot sell or profit from it
so he should at least be recognized as the photographer of this once in a ifetime shot.

Yes,I believe it was used by the AP and it was sent to me by several people so I thought I would post.
The elk in the river and the unbelievable blaze in the background are quite a scene. I can't imagine such devastation.I believe in the history of forest fires in the U.S. this year has been the worse.

Another example of a policy based on emotion and image that has failed. No one likes to visit National parks that are all black and crusty but it seems necessary to allow it to happen.
