Hey there Iowa hunters I'm glad that there is a site like Iowawhitetail because I'm a first time bow hunter and I will have tons of questions. So lets start it off right
Question? is the rut done in Iowa or what? I've tried grunting ,rattling, scents and not much is happening. I do set up in good areas like travel corridors and such give me some answers. By the way I'm 29 married 2 kids and live up here in NE Iowa.

I've been finding the same thing. But tonight I watched a picked cornfield and the place was hopping with does, yearlings and one nice 8 pt. You might want to concentrate on the food sources. Good luck!

Here in south-central Iowa, picked cornfields are where I've seen all the deer in the last week.
