I have a mission handed down to me by a desperate farmer... eradicate all grass carp in his pond. With incorrect information he put close to 20 grass carp into a 1 or 2 acre pond 16 years ago and now there is pretty much no vegetation and about 17 too many carp. My mission, if I choose to accept it, is to get rid of all carp. I took the electro shocking boat out with zero success and today was plan B... hook and line. Cherry tomatoes and grass rubber banded to the line yielded zero success...

For the first time in my life I found more important things to do aside from turkey and mushroom hunting... I guess becoming a Daddy will do that to ya! Even though I only made a few hunts for birds and fungus I still managed to do pretty well, IF you consider becoming the master jake slayer productive? Opening day was a complete wash, or should I say ice out as with cold temps and snow flurries I didn't even see a bird. I didn't make it out again till late second season or even third season...
