    The old way...

I agree, and shows like whitetail properties pushing land, leases and such are going to kill hunting for the non wealthy.

    youth season success

Took the 13 year old out this morning. About six different birds were sounding off after we watched the blood moon eclipse. They all responded to my yelps on the Woodhaven call. A couple old hens and I bantered back and fourth till about 7:15. About that time, a bird flew down and proceeded...

Saw a once in a lifetime buck

I didn't see him again, hopefully he didn't get poached. Regardless, I pulled off a bow kill on a doe from the ground, followed up 40 seconds later with a muzzleloader kill of a doe. Felt good.

Saw a once in a lifetime buck

Well, played the wind right and was seated by 2:35. All the bucks came out at about 3:45, and I was sure the big bucks was coming out any minute. However, he never made an appearance. Going again today and Saturday. I may hunt a different field tonight about a half mile away.

Saw a once in a lifetime buck

I killed my buck at 225 last year, but the blood trail was non existent. The wind Sunday was a pretty stiff cross wind, so I didn't shoot, I also failed to mention that they were all headed my way until 4 coyotes came on the field. The deer went to the other side of a finger....and when I...

Saw a once in a lifetime buck

I was pretty bummed after my target buck was killed on new years eve, by some guys leasing ground next to my grandpa's. Good for those guys, kind of a kick in my ass though. So I went to my place south of there, to just kill a doe....well, first deer out was one of the biggest deer I've seen...

    South Dakota Phesant Hunt 2015

Good luck in your endeavor! I went up last year to hunt public ground around Plankinton and Hartford. It's not too far of a drive from SW Iowa up that way. I stayed with a guy that I had sold a Brittany too, and we didnt' get started hunting until mid afternoon on any of the three days. We...

What's wrong with driving or parking at your property to keep the pushers off?

    The biggest threat:

The thing is, do farmers care that the miles and miles of tile increase flooding downstream? My dad is a farmer, his father and he ran a dozing and tiling business too. We now have a black desert on all the ground in the family. The funny thing is when farmers ask me why I think we don't have...

    Ethics:

As long as people aren't pushing with trucks, and killing a ton of 2 year old bucks...it's all good. I love how meat hunters hold out and kill 120ish bucks...then say..well can't eat the antlers. No shit. So shoot a doe.

    Ethics:

Which is BS..people who push deer in trucks are douche bags.

    My rainy Saturday

Shark was never going to re sign with the Cubs, never. I get the frustration, but with the bats coming up over the next year, the pitching can be more efficiently purchased in the offseason. Lester, Scherzer, Masterson, Shields, and Ervin Santana...pick up one or two of those guys...and you...

    Bees

People, eating right and moving enough, would not only actually solve our Healthcare crisis, but force a shift from corn based ag. A shift that Big Ag would never allow.
