At my farm I've seen multiple poults. 2 weeks ago 2 Hens with 15 poults, in one food plot the other had 1 hen with 5 poults and another hen with 2 poults. Then Saturday saw a hen with 12 poults. I think we had a good hatch around my farm.
I don't disagree with him at all. I've got friends that high dollar blinds. zero access points in getting in and out and they don't see big bucks. I believe if you can access food plots in and out they are a great resource. Playing the wind is also highly needed. I've TSI about 15 acres...
From Experience when I bought ground a few years ago from an older lady that had just lost her husband. First day we hunted it the phone rang and it was the neighbor. He didn't know the ground sold as he contacted the lady first. Well come to find out the night before him and his buddies...
I got shed Poached this year too. My kids were all excited to find absolutely nothing. There were sheds on the ground as I had a buck jump a fence with one side and by the time he got to my blind it was gone. I thought I'd leave it for my kids to find. UGGGH
Sligh 1, I've been feeding the the 12% protein Sweet feed for about 2 weeks now, which is very close to the DEER pellets ingredients, and they have been hammering it. Going through about 110lbs in 3 days. The turkeys are on it as well. Hoping its enough for them to survive and hopefully the...
I got a couple of spots of Blue stem and Indian that I basically use to get in and out of stands. I burnt it last year would you suggest burning every year? It definitely came back much better this year after I burnt it.
Has anyone put out the horse pellets they sell at Theisens? I looked at what is in it and looks about the same as what they put in the deer pellets but its $5 cheaper. The only thing I can see is the difference is the 12% protein vs 18% which is recommended for deer.
Hey all, I'm trying to find anyone with the Maxima Hunter 350 arrows. Cabela's and bass pro and amazon don't have them. I can't find them anywhere. Are they still being made or am I going to have to switch arrows.
2020 was an absolute grind. Kids home from school for 6 months working from home (and still am) and wife working from home. The only good thing was I was able to get 90% of the stuff done I wanted to on the farm. To say I was excited for the 2020 deer season was an understatement, but that...
I hunted Saturday morning and I was covered up in deer from about 7:30 to 9. I hunted sunday morning and the movement was amazing. Little bucks grunting and pushing does. Ended up filling 2 of my anterless tags. I was just packing up to get out of the stand and it happened. I would say if...
Good morning all. With the drought that many of us had what's everyone's thoughts on their food plots. I planted mine the end of July and didn't have any rain until September. We just got .33 inches yesterday. My turnip plots are all about 2 inches tall. It looks like next week is supposed...
