    Red dot scope question

My daughter's 20 guage wears a Bushnell TRS-25 that I picked up at Cabelas. Light weight, smaller dot size, seems durable. My daughter shot her first deer this year with hers at about 65 yards.

    Coyote pop increase?

Coyotes are also death on "domestic" cats, I've heard cats due a great deal of damage to pheasant populations. Bowtech84, can't believe I haven't thought of coon calling with the warm weather and the calls are right there on the Foxpro. Are the hides still in good shape?

What do you sw hunters do.....

Used to call on Gade Ins in Griswold, not sure if that's close to where you're talking, but you'd probably have to drive to Omaha if that's the case. Quite a few opportunities, Large Army Corps of Engineers office there.

    Coyote pop increase?

Look at the areas the guys on TV typically hunt, not a lot of people around. The coyotes in Western NE, SD, WY,MT, etc will let you get a lot closer and they're hungrier. Also not as many groups of people running them in sections with roads where they can be surrounded or running them with dogs...

    Non-Res Holiday?

Never been involved in the Iowa NR tag process, but that $50 is too high IMHO.

    Non-Res Holiday?

Simply a case of supply and demand, more so in the case of a buck tag. If no one bought the tags they would have to make them cheaper to find the right price point.

    What's everyones favorite .22 rifle?

Little Marlin 70 carbine, clip...er... magazine fed, always goes bang when I pull the trigger. Bought my daughter a Marlin 795, supposed to be similar, but they just don't make them like they used to.

CNN "Farmland values are soaring across the Midwest"

As has been noted in various articles, a much greater percentage of the land being purchased currently is being bought for cash vs. the 70's-80's when it was highly leveraged, therefore the prices/values are not as volatile. The ones who have more to risk are those paying cash rents of...

Interesting Situation, what do you think.

If they catch them the penalty is stiffer for a trophy buck, thus the need to retain the antlers as evidence. I would think they could return them if case is solved, but when will that happen?

    Hunting Accident Appanoose County

My thoughts exactly, I no longer shotgun hunt because we had fewer than 10 guys and some of them either didn't want to listen or were too stupid to follow directions. In a group that size there's bound to be some confusion.
