Just curious if the snakes 'mainly timber rattlers', are bad in Southern Iowa as they are in Northeast Iowa? Planning in two weeks on swinging by some of the farms I shedhunt and walk a few. Thought maby find a few that dropped late.

X2, I've heard about people running into them in the Loess Hills but not south of that really.

Thanks guys. Quite a few years ago late in April I walked upon a pile I mean more like a million snakes. I stopped and they were all around me under my boots EveryWere! I stood there and a friend of mine came up the hill side and almost fainted he couldn't believe what I had walked into. To good of a south facing hillside to walk by. Good thing they were bull snakes.
