Frustrated
Thanks to some help from Ironwood I got my release loop problem fixed, thanks again bud.
Was back in the swing of things firing away today and low and behold......the peep came off. To say I am frustrated is an understatement...confidence is way down right now, am so worried about things going astray right now. Am starting to think maybe a kisser button and no peep would have been a better option. So for now..out of comission again 2 weeks before season opens and thinking for next yr.......no peep, keep it simple. Does anyone else go through this kind of insanity.

Re: Frustrated
Stick with the peep. Once you get it set where you want it tie it into the string. Also tie it in above and below the peep.

Been there; that's one of the reasons I switched to traditional equipement.

Very important stuff to have them tied in.

Re: Frustrated
I would be curious to see how it was tied in that it came out.
If you tie them in correctly they will not move and I have never had one come out.
This is one of the reasons I decided to learn how to work on all my own archery equipment and purchased all the tools necessary to do so. I don't like being 50 miles from a bow shop when something goes wrong. Now I am doing all the work on my friends bows as well as my own.

Re: Frustrated
You should be able to put it back in yourself. Are you using a peep with tubing or just a peep? Split your strands carefully as to not damage your string and get it back in there. You should be able to look comfortable through it to your pins, neck relax and strait. Good luck, you’ll be learning at a faster rate than me because you have to fend for yourself more.

Re: Frustrated
Tie a piece of serving or dental floss, or whatever you have on the string where the center of the peep was. You can still shoot by ligning up the string with your pins. It's not a cure-all, but at least you can still shoot. If you get good enough at it you can leave your peep off and never half to worry about low light conditions again. I read that somewhere.....never had to try it myself, but I'm not sure a guy couldn't get good enough with it to make it work well.
