My buddy Jason (Axe911buck) and I decided to go out looking for some bone yesterday since the snow was starting to melt and he had some cuddeback pics of a big guy that had finally dropped. We thought we were in trouble when we got to the farm and a good portion of it was under water due to flooding. Good thing I had my hip boots on! This is the buck we were looking for.
About twenty minutes into the walk I found the left side.
Another hour and a half didn't turn up the right side, but there is still areas in this woods where the snow is knee deep. I have no doubt it will turn up. The catch is that Jason's six year old son Hunter has been chomping at the bit to go out and look for these sheds ever since they got the pictures of him dropped. I tell ya Hunter is nuts about shed shed hunting, but he was in school yesterday. He will be heartbroke to know I found this. So we are going to set it back in the woods and let him find it. He ought to go crazy when he finds it. It scored higher than I thought too. It ended up going 63 5/8, due to heavy mass. Hopefully we can get the match when this snow melts in May the way it is looking. Shredder, this was the one I was telling you about at the classic. Should be a bruiser next year. And sorry about the grainy quality of some of the pics, I am back using my old computer for now and the editing tool is a POS.
