Dead Buck

I went out for a walk today and 5 minutes in I find this. My first dead buck. It's hard to say what he died from, he was pretty eaten up. It could have been anything really. He was 100 yards from the neighbors property and 90 yards open and clear from the road. So he could have been mortally wounded in shotgun or late muzz and piled up there OR he could have been sniped from the road. Either way he would have been a damn good one next year. I scored him at 130 even. He carried 36 1/2 inches of mass and his bases were 6 inches each. Too bad...

I hate finding that, one of the bigger bucks that I have ever put my hands on was found the same way.
