Default Iowa Deer Density map?

Anyone have a reliable source for a map on deer densities in IA per county?? Interested to see how it compares to the herd density as a whole compared to the state of MO.

This QDMA link may help you out?

It takes a minute or two to maneuver through the site.

Very interesting. Looking at that map you would think the southeast U.S. would be the place to be. Is that accurate? Just click on Georgia, practically the whole state is supposedly at 30+deer per square mile.

did anybody read the article in the magazine that Methews puts out? I did not read it but read about it on a post in qdma. It had iowa with 50% less deer population than illinois. I belive it was something like 400k to 800k and was also saying that iowa harvest half its deer poulation every year. Just curious. Not to many people on qdma agreed with it.

I know here in eastern iowa our deer numbers have declined in the last five years. My neighbor has owned his property for 20 years and agrees that there has been a decline and he is not real sure why.
