I'm in a similar situation on a plot that has been too wet. This weekend I'm going to mow 3-4' weeds, no till in a mix of rye, radish and peas, then spray. Hopefully all in one day. Oh, and finally, cross my fingers and say three Hail Mary's.
I had two get away from me. 3 to 4 foot weeds in 50 to 75 percent. Mowed a week ago and the clover is coming back well. If you can mow I'd do that before anything.
Planted deadly dozen last year. Tilled spread and drug it. Then spread some.plot topper on top. Went with half of recommended amount of both. Ended up a nice plot. I know some.of the seeds like beets are a waste but I'm a shitty "farmer" the mix of seeds let's 4 to 6 thrive when I'm too...
While i like this idea. It won't happen. The amount of other bigger issues county and city police need to deal with make dead deer near the bottom of their list.
so like TSI on steroids? I know a property I used to do deer drives on was logged and a total mess was left behind. we thought it might be ruined but it turned out to be top.notch bedding.
Half of my 120 acres is in WRP (flood plain of the cedar river). Has decent timber. I manage trails however i want. Can put up to 10% (i think) in food plots. I only have about 2-3% in a plot. I did have to send a map of the area i was putting in as a plot and basically register it, or get...
sprayed way to early in the spring. rented a tractor and tiller and planted. unknowingly stirred up every weed seed known to man. planted and fertilized by hand. grew the best weeds anyone ever has. I'm talking 6...7 feet high!
