Week 5 Legislative update - IBA

HF 388. As a nonresident land owner, I hate the idea of screwing those who have been waiting on the list for years by giving 35% of licenses to those who get to jump the line. Plus I am worried that the 35% of tags will somehow be steered to the same people year after year. Those with friends...

Deer Gro products -Plot Start and Plot Boost

Plotstart contains Calcium Chloride. Lime is Calcium Carbonate. The carbonate is what lowers PH. I can't see how there could be any effect on PH from Plotstart. Sent from my SM-G991U using Tapatalk

Land Pride 705NT may be up for sale soon

I am in the process of buying a 606NT with NWSG seed bin. I plan to sell my 705NT with small and large box later this spring. Just trying to gauge the interest. It is located in Lamoni, IA. When I get out to the farm in earlier March, I will get some pics online. Let me know if you may be...

    Mobile No-Till Setup

The Genesis drill does not have coulter blade like a true no till. It is more similar to a minimum till like GP 600. There is another good quality brand of foodplot no till drills called Kasco model is versa drill. They make a 48" 3p and pull type that might work on your smaller tractor and fit...

    Recommended spreaders??

I use a Fimco 2.2 cubic foot spreader mounted on front of an atv for planting into buckwheat and spreading fertizer and lime. It holds 100lbs. It works well and is very adjustable. It handles anything from clover to beans. Works with peletized lime and fertilizer well. It is on the...

Non resident land owner needs does harvested

I own 360 acres in southern IA. I have a mix of crp, crops, timber, and pollinator program. Given the limited amount of tags I am able to get between bow tag every 3-4 years and occasional shotgun doe tags, I am over run with does. Is there any depredation tag program my farmer could use so...

range finders that take angle into consideration..

Do you have pins under 10 yds? If not, your guessing anyway so the angle corrected distance doesn't really matter. If you do have 4, 6, and 8 yd pins then more power to ya!

    rangefinders

The cheaper ones do not adjust for angle. The best all around deal for archery is the Nikon Archer's Choice at $245

    Soybeans as food plot

I have a 3 acre soybean plot. The deer hit it early and clipped alot of new growth, but it has done pretty well otherwise. What should I do with the plot this fall. Leave it stand through the winter, cut it and plant a late season plot or till it under? Thanks for any guidance.

Need some instruction for corn foodplot

This year is my first year planting spring and fall food plots and things went well. I have an excellent 3 acre plot of clover and an additional 3 acres soybeans planted this spring. I have scattered plots totalling 3 acres of milo. I just planted 1 acre of brassicas and another 2 acres of...

Has anyone had any experience tank mixing and spraying clover plots with these two products? Should I spray individually instead? Any suggestions would be helpful.
