I did a bunch of TSI the last couple winters. I think it's starting to payoff. Seeing deer beds and actually killed a buck in November when a hot doe ran into some of the thick cover I created and he and several others circled around.
Got a bunch more done the last 2 weekends.
Can I ask kind of a dumb question? What is the point of this bill being debated? Is it the deer herd/numbers problem? Seems if they are just targeting the additional buck tag for LO? If this is it and my assumptions are right (may not be), it seems the LO tag thing won't do much if anything...
I got a newer cam with a solar panel. Best option as TR said, it will pay for itself. My other cams, especially when it starts to get cold, I swap to Lithium. Super expensive, but they last.
Finally had a hen with a "few" poults on my place yesterday. I saw 2-3 but may have been more in the weeds. They were the size of a quail, so assuming a very late clutch.
Good to see any.
I found a disc a month ago, so I should be good to go now. Tractor is pretty much ready to go now too. Once turkey season is a wrap, I'm going to start breaking ground. Can't wait.
I would give that a shot. Can't hurt. It will dry some yes, but like I said. I still have deer trying to rub them now after they dropped antlers and those have been up since Sept.
