    Hunting from the ground?

I was on my way to my tree stand earlier this week. I got "pinned" down by a doe before I got there so I shot her. As I was gutting her I had a second one walk up to me and got her also! So yes, you can get them from the ground. But I think an experienced BIG buck is likely to bust ya! :)

    Slow year

WOW 600+ acres of the right land would be incredible. What county are you talking about?

    Slow year

It sounds to me like this property it more of a pass through for them. In my opinion you should be seeing resident bucks that you are recognizing year-to-year or at least day-to-day. We hunt 300 acres that we tend to see the same bucks consistently before rut really kicks in and after. There...

    Mechanical Broadheads

My vote is also for the two bladed rage. I made a poor shot on a nice buck last year and still recovered him pretty easily. Thanks to the monster hole it left!

A few turkey, couple coyote, and coons. I've spooked a few walking in/out. Tonight, I finally heard a buck grunting, so...

Need a suggestion please! RE: Bow Shops

Here to thank Boyd at Buck Hollow again! Was still having some trouble with my bow (my own fault) and called Boyd yesterday. He's working hard in the fields but still found time to work on my bow and had it ready this morning. So now I get to go to southern Iowa for a few days and try it out...

Thanks Thanks again for the info. I dropped my bow off there today. It's great to have a place so close to home. :drink2:

Need a suggestion please! RE: Bow Shops

I live in Knoxville,Ia and am getting ready for my first bow season here (a bit late :)) I need to get my bow strung and am hoping someone could suggest a local bow shop. I prefer not to use the "big city" shops if possible. Thanks Damon
