Hunted se Iowa this morning. Surprisingly the birds I was hunting were gobbling alot
. Had a close call with a tom at 15 yards. Bow hunting without a blind is proving to be tough.
I've given up on trying to get them out. Seems like I get them all out then the next time I go i'm covered again. When I get bored I start picking them off but otherwise I just think of it as a little "natural cover". Although I might need to try some of the ideas you guys have mensioned.
Its pretty hard to tell with the angle of the pictures but his two's arn't very long, maybe 8 inches at most, he's got decent width and main beams. I'd say 130 range but it's kinda hard to tell. 3 1/2 or 4 1/2 on age would be my opinion.
A buddy of mine has used lucky buck for the last couple of years and also swore by it. I was hesitant but we finaly put some out infront of a couple cams and I'm definetaly a believer. Put it out on a Sunday came back the next sunday and there was a hole already starting where they had been...
This is the biggest buck I've been able to get on cam so far this year but I think he will do. Had pics of him last year and He has put on a good 15-20 inches so I think he is either a 4 1/2 or 5 1/2. What do you guys think.
Went out last night to one of our spots to listen and I did a hoot owl call. First one had 3 respond then they just kept gobbling for about 5 min. Heard quite a few. cant wait!
