The thing I don't like about my XOP cushion is that when you tip the seat up, it is so thick that the seat won't stay up. I put on a cushion off one of my cheap menards stands. I probably stand 45 minutes out of every hour anyways.
Was hopeful tonight with the dropping temps. Got skunked however. Did see deer on their feet on the drive home however. 1 doe still with 2 fawns, lone doe, and young buck.
I would agree that he is older than you think. Might just be bad genetics on the rack. Based on that giant block head, thick neck and chest, and what appears to be a belly but hard to tell, I'd say he's fully mature.
This is my first bow buck after 6 seasons of bow hunting and first buck taken from the acreage my parents purchased 4 years ago. I've taken several does and have had several opportunities at bucks that I've messed up in one way or another. This year, I thought it was going to be the same. Two...

The last two seasons I've taken my daughters out with me, so I hunted later in the mornings or afternoons. Each year I had a bird on the ground within an hour and a half, first sit. This year was 9:30 am and last year was 5:00 pm. Perhaps though they just give me some luck!
When I go out...
