    There are still decent deer numbers in clayton and allamakee. But, the mature buck numbers seem to be down.

The way i look at it is if you shoot a buck at 150 that is not fully mature he never had the chance to reach 170 or bigger. so i guess it comes down to size a quality of the bucks you want to be hunting.
