Im in polk county. I mostly bow hunt. I plan on doing a weekend of shotgun. And I would like to get a muzzleloader for next year.

I have seen lots of does. Just not a shot at one yet. I havent seen any bucks yet.

im trying to find some private land to hunt but im having a hard time. anyone have any advice or know a farmer that wouldnt mind having someone hunt on their land. this is my first deer season and havent had much luck on public land.

I have a friend who has an acreage in des moines. I was wondering if i could hunt it and what i needed to do to be able to hunt there. Dnr said to call police station. Police station said i needed a permit but couldnt tell what the permit was. Anybody know what i need.
