Has anyone planted Miscanthus this time of year (Summer)?

If prep is done and rhizomes are still viable and not burning up in someone's barn right now, then you should be good. Just make sure you get them covered up and packed well incase the rain turns off. They likely won't be a screen for 3+ yrs

    Oaks and tubes

Not worth the effort or weakening the tube IMO. Just let it ride and be patient, that 5ft tube will train it enough

    Fertilizer Rates

Never thought of it, but good idea! That's why I am here haha. Looking for N alternatives other than Urea due to my inability to time its application with measurable rain

    Fertilizer Rates

Do any of you guys have experience with using liquid N for corn rather than urea? I have 5 acres planted and due to schedules etc. timing the post emergence urea application within the needed rain window to not lose all of it is extremely difficult for me. Can i just spray it when I clean up...

    Honey Locust Trees & Tires

Napalming Triclopyr sounds questionable, but would probably work. It will kill everything else too though

    Breaking up a food plot

You are going to get a bunch of opinions here. I'd encourage keeping as much in beans/grain as possible. This will keep deer around as the fall progresses into winter. You have to have them. If you are trying to increase October attractiveness - till up and plant 1/4 acre of radishes and...

Cedar Spacing & Switchgrass Prep Spraying

Ive transplanted probably thousands of cedars the size that Rob posted pictures of. I'd say 4ft max then maybe thin a few decades from now, but I'm not there yet. I also second transplanting the smaller ones, seems like 99% survive and thrive right away. Cedars are MEAN, great for transplanting

    Pedestal Mounts

OP - I am in the same process right now. Looking for ideas.

    Any success with this?

YES, works great. Used to do it all of the time when I first started plotting.

    Alfalfa???

I havent messed with alfalfa before, but plan to on 3-4 acres of a new parcel I am acquiring next month in E IL. I have access to a G series drill and of course conventional tillage & broadcast seeding as well. I'd like to get it rolling this spring. Is there any specific variety that I...
