dbltree,
I have an area on my farm that I would like to plant in SG. I will check with my NRCS District Conservationist for right variety. I live in Western Illinois and have North/South draw below a pond that is planted in a Co-op pasture mix. Brome,Fescue,Orchard, and clover. There is a lot of info in this thread. Its tough to keep it all straight. I have tilling equip.and drill.
I'm just now getting into the planning phase. Can I just burn later this spring March or April. Round-up at first green-up and then drill the seed. How should I fight erosion? Maybe you should write a book
Thanks
