What ticks me off about fences is there is a fence on public land, put there by our tax dollars I beleive. The adjacent land owner has cut the fence in places and has tree stands right by the new opening. He is a guy who has no trespassing signs up on every tree. In another spot he has bent the fence down, and wrapped all the strands of barbed wire together to make a low spot for the deer to jump and has a tree stand in that spot as well.
During the summer, the deer raise their fawns on the public land and during bow season they travel those routes so his fence manipulation technique makes his bow hunting great in the fall. Once shotgun comes the deer tend to bed down on his side closest to the food and makes it super hard to get any deer on that public land.
I repaired both sections of the fence.
