Hunting has evolved from a pursuit for food to a recreational activity, and to some even a trade. Technology has changed hunting more than any one thing in history and has made it "cool" to be a hunter. There have always been A holes that have ruined other peoples hobbies by being ignorant and unaware of the code of ethics. The population has increased and the amount of habitat for wildlife has decreased making it a more 'competitive' venture now. So plain and simple, what you are seeing is a product of our environment and has been spawned by society and the access to instant information. I love this sport and always will, regardless of what the guy next to me is doing. Maybe instead of bitching about it, some of you should try to be a mentor to some of these newbies and show them the ropes a bit. I hate listening to this crap! There is room for everyone in this sport and we need the voices to eventually continue to do what we love. The comment about "you can't eat the horns" is all fine and dandy, but hunting isn't about feeding your family like it once was. Yes, most of us still eat what we kill and that is a major part of what we do, but hunting is expensive and you can buy meat at the store relatively inexpensively, so that argument is invalid. Some guys will never be into hunting the way others are and will never be land managers or conservationists or stewards for out sport like some of us are, but for the most part hunting is a 1or 2 weekend a year event and those people aren't going to care if they are "infringing" on your area. The sky is not falling and hunting is pretty damn good right now for the most part (especially in Iowa) and we need to invite more people to enjoy what we do and fight for what we love. I guess I'm just frustrated with the attitude that some of you have. Especially some of you older guys. Quit being so narrow minded. For crying out loud, I'm 30 years old and my friends and I have introduced kids, women, girlfriends and new guys to this sport and let them hunt some of our stands, and you know what, it hasn't effected my hunting and my pursuit for mature whitetails one bit! Hmmm maybe it's not so bad having someone else hunting the same land with you, and maybe you can work together with people to share in the fun, but I think that's my point... SOME of you have forgotten that this is suppose to be FUN

I'm Done now.
