Does your stuffer have any movement? Sure seems to help. I don't know if the older birds are smart enough to notice no movement. Being able to face the incoming Tom then face the deke away seem to be a sign of being subordinate or the ultimate insult. Generally brings them in whatever them meaning is.
I've seen loners move in on hens to be ran off by the group.
We had about three groups. Two groups of two and one group of three I'm calling the triplets. One group of two was broke up by Logan. I know of two loners that were testing moving into their area. I'm thinking one of them is probably ruling their old strut zone now, don't know though haven't had time to get back out there and check. We will be out there tomorrow to put them to roost.
Have been noticing the flocks are starting to break up around home.
Good luck to all........
