....and I enjoyed watching them and would not have considered shooting them until the DNR shot most of them. Then I was pissed because I could have filled my freezer with elk on many occasions. Unfortunately we will never have elk in Iowa, the Iowa DNR won't let it happen. Any elk that is loose, whether wild or pen raised will be shot. That bums me out.
