I see the same stuff on tv and just almost spit my tea out. Ok mr or ms celeb we know how you got the tag. Enough already I say. Some farms need does shot other should shoot zero as numbers are way low. I have hunted farms here in late ML and had 60 deer in the field an hour before dark. Out of all those deer not one shooter. Took 10 days freezin to see a 140 inch 10. Ok I understand there was great food there and all those deer did not live on that farm. Now during the snow a couple of weeks ago I was next to an 80 acre standing corn field and setup with perfect wind till it got dark and I did not see one deer, nope not even one. In that exact same spot last year I had a 150 inch 10 with a doe all morning in that field and same day had a slammin 5 year old 8 eatin weeds and he would not even run away when I drove by him??? place is 100% opposite of previous years? I did find one small buck dead that still had velvet on his rack and he was on edge of a pond. I know something is not right when you have a farms that are letf alone have ok food and you do everything right and dont even see a deer. I plan on speaking to the DNR about the dead little buck and asking them please to re-evaluate the situation on the ground as to me it does not look good.
