Curtis - I think I am open to new ideas, but I am having a hard time grasping your point. You appear to contradict yourself by stating that coyotes have a direct negative effect, but then stating that there are indirect factors that create a positive. What exactly are the indirect factors and how do we know that in aggregate they outweigh the negative factors?

Fox kill more pheasant than Coyotes and are target animals for Fox were as Coyotes go after Raccoons, Fox, Skunk, ect for territorial reasons. They eat more rodents and rabbits than pheasants. I remember my Ag Teacher telling me you can't have fox and coyotes in the same area because the coyotes will kill them.

On the flip side, Coyotes go after more Fawns than Raccoons, Fox, Skunk, ect If you want more pheasants kill the fox, raccoons, skunk, ect animals and don't smoke the coyotes as often. Want more deer? Kill the coyotes.

At least that's what I'm getting out of it.
