Look, believe it or not I didn't post just to argue. I agree that Hillary was no prize and a lot of people voted for what they thought was a change. Now a bunch of farmers might lose everything just so Trump can look like a big shot on the world stage. I lived through the 1980s farm crisis and watched farms sold at the courthouse door. I hope that won't happen again.
I'm a farmer. I sell soybeans. I'm friends with farmers all over the midwest. Trump is not going to cause us to go broke!!!! Beans are higher now than when the tariffs started low $7's before any of this happened & that was tough. They are in the $8's now after tariff stuff.

I know they exist but I have yet to meet one farmer irate with Trump about this- no joke. On the contrary, every one I've spoke to supports him on China - as we know it’s for the country & can think past just our self interests. We know it’s time we make a stand to the $500 Billion we lose to China & all the shady things they do. The most anyone could even begin to say the tariffs have impacted beans is about $.50 to $1 depending on the source. Like it or not, the government is paying back as much lost from Tariffs to farmers per bushel through the USDA/FSA. So, in reality, it's not impacting them, at least on the bottom line. Farmers will end up being up about $2/bushel now vs pre-tariff. Farmers are having a correction, which happens in every market. Started well before tariffs & also impacts non-china-intense exports like corn, etc. It's a correction, some would say a "needed correction".

The truth... Trump isn't causing farmers to go broke. 1980's were a bust due to crazy interest rates & low commodity prices.
