Giant River Bottom Maples

With my logging project done, and the project cleaned up, I've been evaluating my woods and debating if I should try to get rid of these absolute ginormous trees, they are HUGE. They have no log value as most are hollow in the middle. I have a feeling with them still alive there will be big areas under them with no growth because they produce huge canopy.

And if I decide to get rid of them, how it should be done without anyone getting hurt.

6-10 GIANTS left on the farm.

Any suggestions on get rid of them if I decide to do so? Try to kill em standing and let them fall down?

Big trees…. 6-10…. Id let a few “go out to pasture” & die a natural death. But that’s just the tree hugger in me (from the guy that’s killed probably a world record of trees ;) ). I do like big trees. 6-10 ain’t taking a lot of space. Maybe girdle the nastiest ones of them. Just a preference issue here. Unless u truly want every bit of space & growth, then double girdle all of em
