One thing to remember about the electric saws is conventional Kevlar chaps don’t provide the same level of safety as they would on a gas powered saw. It has to do with the way the sprocket will become clogged with Kevlar on a gas saw, the electric saw is more a direct drive. Not sure what is standard PPE for electric saws.

I’ve had a couple spine fusions and farm work always puts me down for few days, that’s my reasoning with the question
 
Just finished up doing a lot of girdling & cutting smaller trees (1-3” dia.) for one of my 2025 projects. Thought I’d mention this saw since I use it a lot also & it’s quite a bit more affordable than my Stihl professionals…
Echo CS-271t, 27cc @ 6.6 pounds, runs great with a sharp 12” blade.
