I think a stiff rate of roundup is all our district forester recommended. I know I’ve also talked to the chemical rep about remedy ultra in crp and he said remedy ultra doesn’t translocate like tordon in a tree so once the leaves are off it won’t really affect them. So I’m guessing if roundup wasn’t enough you could heat it up with remedy.
I would want to talk to a professional but my understanding is that you’d need to let the leaves fall off everything else and then you’re good. You could also probably hit the honeysuckle early in the spring before the other trees leaf out: Nice part about the roundup is you would kill any brome along your edges and give the native grasses a chance. For those who have drone sprayed BH, what specific time frame would I be looking at. SW WI would be the location, so basically same zone as NE Iowa, right across the river.
I'm aware it would be in the fall, and from personal observations, I'd guess the first week of November, but I don't want to be too late with it.
