Sprayer questions...

So I bought a Sprayer Specialties 3-point. Don't care for it and not a SS fan after this experience. Going to sell it and buy a good UTV unit. Torn between an F/S and a Superior. That aside, what's everyone's experience with booms? I am sick of fighting booms, kinked hoses after storage, turn radius...etc. Any thoughts?

What's wrong with your SS unit? Mine is boomless but has the nosels to make it a 48" width or around 8'.

It may just have cheap hoses on it. Tried swapping them out.

Lot of guys use Femco around me and in NW Iowa is big in DEMCO sprayers and they are good IMO.

First off, I just don't care for using my tractor for spraying anymore. I have a cab on my Ranger and not on my tractor. Secondly, I expected better support for a spreader at this price point. Cannot use with my quick hitch, 3 broken fittings due to routing/location of unions, the unit just feels like it was built as an afterthought.

Overall, very disappointed and expected more out of SS. I have borrowed my neighbors Fimco and I must say, feels about the same with better routing of hoses/unions than the SS. I will check out DEMCO as well. Thank you...

I actually use a 60 gal SS tank with a boomless sprayer that fits in the hitch on my ranger. Just did 3 acres with it.

Sorry you had issues with it. I agree though, seems they went down hill 6-9 yrs ago when the original family were bought out.

I can understand the bulkiness of the 3 pt though.
