Brush law

Does Iowa have anything called a brush law where you have to keep brush cleared from middle of road thru right off way easement? I haven't heard of anything on in Iowa.
Missouri does and I've been dealing with it for the 2nd time in 14 years. The ordinance says its so they can mow and maintain the roads. They've never mowed in 15 years, they do run the road grader up and down the road tho.
I have 20 hours into it the last couple weeks and still have a bit to do. When I'm done I want to spray the ditch to keep it clear. What does everyone recommend for spraying road ditches for brush and trees? I'm thinking Crossbow, 2,4d, and Surmount, maybe as some 22k for good measure?

In benton county it is up to the secondary roads dept. To cut trees out of ditches and spray weeds in the ditch.

I have an applicators license, but still learning on what's BEST to use...Haven't had the success i expected with Remedy which is why I ask. There's a lot of differenct tree species in the road ditches in NW Mo.

The Brush law is statewide in Missouri...

Yes the township I own ground in has been enforcing the brush law for awhile now. Some townships and counties push it more than others is why I asked. I have good luck with Tordon but expensive. If hedge is your species causing issues I would wait till early September and you will smoke it. Most other species Remedy and Duracor/Grazon Next and really wet the foliage and it covers most species of brush/trees.

Triclopyr/Crossbow is what I use.
Ok, I'll try again. At what %mix are you guys using? I've been using the lable rates and not seeing the results. I've been spraying June/July for foliar application. Also using a non-ionic surfactant. Are you guys mixing hot or something? Just not sure what's going on. Try not to spray during drought or when the trees are stressed, wetting thoroughly....at a loss to the results I'm not seeing.

I have hedge, just not much of it in the road ditches, mostly the field edges. I have a LOT of elm in the ditches, some walnut, some locust. I'd say those are the top 3, with elm being 3-1 of everything else.

I'll mix up a batch and give it whirl after I'm done clearing what I need to get into compliance. Thx guys

When I spray Osage and other trees(mainly locust) and MFR I'm at 2 oz per gallon with a surfactant which I use .5oz per gallon. Never had an issue.

The power company looks like they just used glyphosate mixture of some sort cuz it killed everything but Cedars.
